Game overview Destruction Derby 2 is the sequel to the PlayStation, Sega Saturn and PC title, Destruction Derby. Here the player must race on up to seven different circuits, in a range of modes, similar to its predecessor. The modes are Wrecking Racing (where the player must destroy or spin the other competitors), Stock Car (a typical race where it's 1st to the flag) and Destruction Derby, which is based around the crash arenas (more below). Commentator Paul Page performed as the announcer, shouting small phrases during moments of impact, such as; "Yeah!!" and "Go easy on the paintwork!" etc. Destruction Derby 2 was added to the PlayStation Platinum range in 1997. Originally the game was released in a double-CD cover (even though the game was only on one CD), but the platinum range version was released in an ordinary PlayStation cover. So what would a sequel to this game be like? We're not talking the poor RAW game that came out on the PS2, i mean taking most the features from DD2 and then making new tracks and keeping it as true to the original and the second one as they could. Imagine online for instance!

If i were to bring out the sequel to this game, I think i'd pretty much keep it the same as DD2 and add all the tracks from the previous game as well as an equal ammount of newer tracks.
Perhaps we could have more variety of cars as well?
Not to mention including more about the various drivers and possibly give them backstories, brief little intros and finales (kinda like TEKKEN). This would of course mean that you actually CHOOSE the character instead of just a generic player.

It was VERY grainy And you couldnt see that far in front of you either, but at the time - that didnt matter. But unfortunately now that i'm replaying it... it does kinda piss me off lol Might take some photos of it on my HD tv

I think the revival will happen, but only when we least expect it. Game developers seem to work that way . If and when they do remake it, they shouldn;t just jump on the band wagon and make Long circit tracks, or open ended citys. Keep it origonal, like the pinical of the game for me, The Figure 8 track! that was wicked

Just graphical ones. Maybe some gameplay ones. For instance, i just started a new game on my ps3 now, and the wholeWreckin' Racing mode isnt really racing at all, you can just stay behind and attack all the cars to get points, you dont have to go with the other cars, seems a bit strange. But fun Also, theres SOOOO many characters in the game, and they all have nice pictures of themselves in the manual. Like i said, they should have cutscenes...

But yeah, that mode in DD2 could be changed a little, so you're rewarded a point system alongside the score you get from taking down foe.
